Welcome back to the Divas Blog!  Today I have a birthday card to share with you that I made for a friend this spring.  I wanted to play with all my new CTMH toys, so included many different embellishments.  The card base is cut from the Close to My Heart Art Philosophy Cartridge.  I adore the scallop on the edge of this cut.  I couldn’t help but be inspired to wrap our fabulous baker’s twine around the grooves.  I love that the shape of the card helps to keep it in place!  Where do I begin with the rest?  I stamped a cork star from the Color-Ready Evergreen Collection with Sunset Ink using the Typeset Workshop Acrylix Set.  The big brown grooved button adds another texture and is from the Buttons Basic Assortment.  I used two past Stamp of the Month sets called, Little Reminder and Thoughtful Tidings for the calendar months, numbers, and sentiment.  Are you ready for a shock?  The chipboard circle that has the numbers stamped on it is a leftover from the My Originals Sweet Surprises Card Kit!  Yep, most people would throw this scrap away after punching it out, but I am a paper hoarder collector.   😉   I keep everything because I never know when I might have a use for it later.   Now,  you might recognize this background paper from the Dotty for You promotion.  I will go back to it time and again because it is so versatile!  Thanks for stopping by!
