Hi to all you wonderful creators!! I hope everyone is enjoying the wonderful fall weather (except CA people – where it is still hot). I am here to show you a card I created using the fabulous CTMH markers. This is the first time I have used the new Alcohol based markers and I love them!! They are so easy to use. These markers come in sets of 2 for only $5.95 on page 9 of your Autumn/Winter 2012 Idea Book/Catalog. They are listed with the cardstock and ink pads in case you missed them.
CTMH markers work really great when used on our CTMH Daisy White cardstock; but be sure to place a piece of paper under them as they might bleed through. I didn’t have that problem; but you could see the colors showing on the other side of the cardstock. I used the Black Archival ink for stamping the image and then added the markers. Just be sure your ink is dry before coloring with your markers.
I used the September SOTM set – Fall Favorites; which I think is adorable. I love this scarecrow. I also finished the inside of the card. I used an embossing folder of leaves for both the outside and the inside to give it more of a fall look. I used the wonderful Cricut Artiste Cartridge to create the Happy Birthday for the inside of the card. The Artiste has a lot of 3 D items and includes many holiday greetings and special occasion greetings. Check out the handbook and my October specials on my blog at http://purpleglocreations.blogspot.com. I also have two clubs you might be interested in joining.
Supplies I used for this card are:
Base card – 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 white card base
Happy Birthday created with Cricut Artiste Cartridge cut at 1 1/2 inches.
Images – September Stamp Of The Month
Ink – Black Archival ink to prevent bleeding (Make sure ink you use is dry before using the markers.)
Embossing Folder – The Paper Studio A2 – Leaves
CTMH Markers Used: (Comes as a set of two for $5.95)
Honey and Honey Light
Creme Brulee and Creme Brulee Dark
Indian Corn Blue and Indian Corn Blue Light
Topiary and Topiary Light
Sorbet and Sorbet Light
I used Copic markers B25 and B31 for the bird and the wooden post because I don’t have the browns; which are part of the basic colors. The basic colors should be available soon.
