Hello all! Welcome to my first ever blog post! Just a quick note on what I plan to have my blog focus on – I have been paper crafting for over ten years now and it is a passion, so this blog is for those scrap bookers, card makers, altered item makers, and fans out there. I am a Close to My Heart Independent Consultant and owner of the Etsy store LoveManifested where I sell my handmade cards and paper crafts. I plan to have a step-by-step how to regularly so I can share my passion with others.

So I have decided to start out with this great steampunk Happy birthday card I made.

Supplies:
Close to My Heart Perfect Fit Birthdays stamp set
Close to My Heart My Reflections For Always paper pack
1 black with white core A2 size (5 ½ x 4 ¼ inches) card
1 black piece of cardstock
Adhesive
Red ink – I used CTMH holiday red
1 piece of red rick rac (5 ½ inches long)
4 small silver brads

Tools:
12 inch trimmer
Cuttlebug gears and cogs embossing folder
Machine to emboss with (I used my old school red original Sizzix machine)
Stamp block

First I dry embossed the card with the gears and cog embossing folder and then sanded the card.   Next I cut the large flower patterned paper in the size 2 ¼  x 5 ½ inches, the black cardstock in the size 1 x 5 inches, the cursive patterned paper in the size ¾ x 4 ½ inches, and cut the edge piece from the large flower patterned paper in the size 5 inches (this is the piece I used to line the bottom of the card).   From here I stamped Happy Birthday on the cursive patterned paper, adhered that stamped paper to the black cardstock piece, and poked the brads through at the corners.  I then adhered the large flower patterned paper, adhered the black cardstock with the stamped piece, and adhered the edge piece.  And that is how you make this card.

Thanks for checking out my blog.  If you have any questions on how to make this card or how to order the supplies to create this card just let me know.  Have a great day!
