To create this adorable banner for my granddaughter I used the Art Philosophy cartridge for the banner itself. I cut the scalloped banner pieces at 5-1/2″. The triangular banner pieces was cut at 4-1/2″. The lettering is from Cricut’s Storybook cartridge, cut at 4-3/4″ so it was a little larger than the triangular piece.
The main ribbon holding the banner together is a 7/8″ wide pale pink organza ribbon. I also put a green beaded ribbon through the entire banner with the organza. Between the first 2 and last 2 banner pieces I tied a 10″ piece of each: 1/8″ ivory ribbon that has a tiny stitch through the center, the beaded ribbon, and a flat flower cut ribbon. Between the other banner pieces I just put the 1/8″ ivory ribbon. The roses between each banner piece were purchased by the yard at a local scrapbook store. I cut them into individual roses and glued them on.
The roses were glued on with Liquid Glass from CloseTo My Heart (love that stuff). Both the triangle banner pieces and lettering were “bumped up” with dimensionals. All the paper was glued on chipboard with Bonding Memories.
Hope you all like it!
